Rachel Gordon, ATR-P
Location: Pennsylvania (Virtual)
Specialties: Individual therapy, adolescent therapy, adult therapy, art therapy, trauma therapy, addiction therapy, neurodivergent-affirming therapy, LGBTQ+ affirming therapy
Rachel provides virtual therapy in Pennsylvania for adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, addiction, psychosis, neurodivergence, and other life challenges. She earned her Master's degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University in 2025 and has experience providing individual and group therapy in both inpatient and community mental health settings.

Rachel practices from a person-centered, compassionate approach grounded in the belief that each client is the expert on their own life. She draws from psychodynamic and relational therapy to help clients understand how early experiences, relationships, and life events continue to shape their emotions, behaviors, and patterns today. Through empathy, curiosity, active listening, and gentle exploration, Rachel creates a safe, collaborative environment where clients can gain insight, build resilience, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

As a trained art therapist, Rachel also offers art therapy as an optional part of the counseling process. Artmaking can provide a powerful form of self-expression, helping clients process trauma, explore emotions, strengthen self-awareness, and build confidence when words alone may feel difficult. No artistic experience is necessary, and clients are never required to use art in therapy. Whether through traditional talk therapy, creative expression, or a combination of both, Rachel tailors each session to meet her clients' unique needs, preferences, and goals.

Rachel understands that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, and she is committed to creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to be themselves. She believes healing happens through authentic connection and considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they develop greater self-understanding, healthier relationships, and a more fulfilling life.
